Professional Bio
I have been a volunteer since grade school. Always enjoying being a part of the community, I was fortunate to get hired in 2004 as a volunteer coordinator. I have worked in volunteer management and community education since then.
I received a bachelor’s degree in social work because I knew I “wanted to help people”. I narrowed my focus when I completed my M.Ed. in 2017, focusing on Learning Design.
I served as president of the state association for volunteer administration (SCAVA) from 2010-2014 and as board member/president of my local association of volunteer administration (LASCAVA) from 2007-2013. I currently work as the Director of Volunteer Services with Agape Care Group- a leading hospice, palliative, and pediatric comfort care provider - serving SC and GA.
I am married with 2 girls- ages 16 and 2.
