Once you join, we invite you to let your donors and community know by posting our member e-cal on your website.Together SC is the only membership organization focused solely on supporting and strengthening the state’s nonprofit and philanthropic community through education, advocacy, fellowship and leadership.
Nonprofit Member
Together SC is the only professional organization in South Carolina that focuses primarily on the needs of 501(c)(3) organizations. Nonprofit organizations that have incorporated with the SC Secretary of State and received their 501(c)(3) determination letter from the IRS are invited to join as a Nonprofit Member. Together SC also supports start-up nonprofits regardless of their member status.

- Receive one free job posting (per fiscal year) on Together SC's Career Center – SC's leading nonprofit job site. And pay the discounted member rate of $49/post for additional posts.

- Together SC is a demographics partner with Candid. Claim and update your demographic data with Candid to help funders access your info all in one place.
- Vote on candidates for the Together SC Board
Annual Dues:
In June 2021, the Board of Directors approved a new dues schedule for Nonprofit Members for the first time in 10 years. Dues are now based only on the member organization's reported annual revenue on their last Form 990, not including in-kind revenue.
- Less than or equal to $50,000 = $50 (For organizations who file IRS Form 990-N e-Postcard)
- More than $50,000 but less than $100,000 = $100
- $100,000 or more but less than $200,000 = $200
- $200,000 or more but less than $500,000 = $300
- $500,000 or more but less than $1,000,000 = $500
- $1,000,000 or more but less than $5,000,000 = $700
- $5,000,000 or more but less than $10,000,000 = $900
- $10,000,000 or more but less than $25,000,000 = $1,100
- $25,000,000 or more = $1,300
Philanthropic Partner
Together, SC aims to work closely with the state's many United Ways, community foundations, and corporate and private foundations, for we all share a common goal of advancing South Carolina's nonprofit community.
Our many philanthropic members consider Together SC a strong ally in meeting the needs of their grantees and the communities they serve. We are grateful for their partnership and support.
Member Benefits:
All benefits offered Together SC's Nonprofit Members, plus:
- Licensing of branded Together SC’s Guiding Principles & Best Practices for use with grantees
- Collaborating on gatherings, calls, and training events targeted to grantees and community needs
- Ability to sponsor and offer scholarships for grantees for events and learning opportunities with online applications (i.e., Carolina Leadership Seminars, Nonprofit Summit, etc.)
- Customized training for an individual grantee or a select group of grantees
- Technical assistance for start-up nonprofits in your service area
- Statewide promotion of your training events, invitations to apply, and other news
- Access to vetted speakers
- Advocacy on sector-wide issues
As 501C3s, philanthropic partners are voting members of Together SC.

Annual Dues:
Dues levels are based on total grants (or annual distribution) made in South Carolina during the previous fiscal year. Annual membership is for twelve months from the date dues are paid. Dues may be paid online.
Less than $100K in grants = $250
$100K , but less than $750K in grants = $500
$750K , but less than $3M in grants = $750
$3M , but less than $7.5M in grants = $1,000
$7.5M , but less than $10M in grants = $1,250
Consultant Collaborative
The Consultant Collaborative is our membership program for entrepreneurs and firms who provide services primarily to nonprofit organizations and want to engage more closely with Together SC and other consultants serving the nonprofit sector.
The Consultant Collaborative is both a membership level and a peer network led by a peer leadership team. In joining the Collaborative, consultants agree to adopt the Consultant Collaborative Code of Conduct (Effective 7/1/2024).
Benefits include:
- Profile with portrait/logo in our public Consultant Collaborative Directory
- Participation in the Consultant Collaborative Peer Network and Listserv, a virtual community that allows you to be closely connected to your peers.
- Regular network calls to connect with other consultants, find support for growing your business and engaging with Together SC. Calls are typically held on the third Thursday of the month.
- Help with connecting with nonprofits requesting consulting referrals.
- Sharing links to your training programs, white papers, and videos with our members via For Good Connections
- Attending or exhibiting at the Nonprofit Summit at the Collaborative's discounted rate
- Display the "Proud Member" e-Cal
Corporate Ally
Our Corporate Ally membership benefits larger,for-profit companies who offer goods or services for nonprofits, among others. We also seek to engage corporate leaders who support charitable nonprofits philanthropically and who believe in Corporate Social Responsibility.
Benefits include:
- Spotlighting Allies' sponsorship or grant funding opportunities to nonprofit members through digital communications channels
- Priority in sponsoring meetings and events
- Annual highlight through series of industry specific panels related to insurance, banking, and other sectors to highlight community engagement
- Development and technical assistance for employees serving on charitable nonprofit boards
- Assistance with matching employees and nonprofit boards service opportunities
Dues are based on the company's annual revenue in SC for the prior reporting year:
Less than $5M - $500
Between $5-10M - $1,000
Academic Partner
Together SC builds partnerships with departments of public or private institutions of higher learning, that offer educational courses, degree or certificate training for professionals and volunteers working in the nonprofit field. Because we have shared capacity building goals, Together SC aims to support the goals of, and work closely with, our Academic Partners.
Member Benefits:
All benefits offered Together SC's Nonprofit Members except for opportunity to vote for Together SC board candidates. Additional benefits include:
- Profile in and single-user access to Together SC’s online Member Directory
- Students enrolled in Academic Partner programs may receive sharply discounted student rate to the Nonprofit Summit
- Together SC presentations and assistance with trainings
- Support for nonprofit career and intern placement services for student
- Help marketing pertinent classes, trainings and services
- Other benefits may include: access to nonprofit leaders to guest lecture, distribution of survey instruments, and help with original research benefiting SC’s nonprofit sector
Government Partner
Government Partners are state, regional, or local government agencies which either function similarly to private nonprofit organizations, or which support nonprofit organizations through funding or other resources.
Together SC seeks to work with these agencies to furthered shared goals in building the capacity of South Carolina's nonprofit organizations.

Together SC realizes there are individuals and nonprofit organizations who are not ready for, or in need of, full membership. The Friend category offers a way to stay in the know while supporting the nonprofit community and strengthening Together SC's voice and advocacy efforts.
