Professional Bio
Mike Darrow became the Executive Director of Feeding the Carolinas in September 2018. With extensive experience in executive leadership positions in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors, Mike is driven by a servant’s heart – helping people and mobilizing resources to solve problems and get results.
Mike’s for-profit experience includes operations and marketing positions with Food Lion, Sara Lee/Hanes brands and Lexington Home Brands. In the non-profit sector, Mike served as Executive Director of the North Carolina Association of Free Clinics, serving the uninsured with their healthcare needs. Mike also was Chief Program Officer for the American Health Initiative, focused on recruiting retired healthcare professionals to bring their skills and experience to free clinics across the country through volunteering.
