Professional Bio
In the past, she served as the Minority, Women, Small Business Administration Coordinator for the Charleston County Aviation Authority, where she drove diversity, inclusion, access, and equity initiatives for Charleston International Airport (CHS). These initiatives included building relationships and partnerships with minority, women-owned, small businesses, non-profits, private, governmental, and educational institutions. She also created and managed the Airport’s first airport management college internship program that focused on introducing students of color and women to aviation management. Ms. McGhee served as the Director of Human Resources at the Aviation Authority for 16 years.
Ms. McGhee is a graduate of Furman University’s Diversity Leadership Initiative, a graduate of The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce Leadership Charleston program, and a graduate of Leadership South Carolina. In collaboration with the South Carolina Airport Coalition (CHS) was recognized as Outstanding Business from the Furman Diversity. She is a board member for the Lowcountry Housing and Economic Development Board. A facilitator for The Charleston Illumination Project. She is on the advisory council for Trident Technical College Business Department Advisory Committee. She is also on the Board of Directors for the YWCA Greater Charleston, The Net Economic Community Development Corporation Board of Directors, and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
