Thankful Together
As the Thanksgiving season approaches, I find myself reflecting on the immense gratitude I feel for SC's nonprofit sector and the volunteers who power our work.
Volunteers embody the spirit of generosity—donating their time, talents, and resources to make our communities stronger, healthier, and more resilient.
Their commitment to service is foundational to organizations like Communities In Schools of SC, where we strive to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve their greatest potential.
This thankful season I invite you to join us in recognizing extraordinary individuals that have made an impact in your organization through the Governor's Volunteer Awards.
This annual celebration honors the selfless heroes whose dedication makes SC a better place to live. Whether in disaster response, youth leadership, community impact, or long-term service, each volunteer’s contribution is invaluable.
Even a simple nomination can be a profound act of appreciation, and all nominees will receive a recognition letter from the Governor, Together SC, and the United Way Association of SC.
Take a moment to celebrate the volunteers who make a difference. Nominations are due by November 29.
Together, we can honor the individuals who exemplify service across our state.
