2025 SC Nonprofit Summit: Creating Common Ground for Stronger Communities
South Carolina’s largest gathering of nonprofit, philanthropic, and community leaders is set to return for the 2025 SC Nonprofit Summit, hosted by Together SC and presented by Dominion Energy. Taking place February 25-27 in Columbia, SC, this year’s theme, "Creating Common Ground," will focus on the power of collaboration and consensus-building in strengthening communities across the state.
With over 600 nonprofit and philanthropic leaders registered to attend the sold-out conference, the Summit will feature insightful keynotes, interactive workshops, and panel discussions designed to equip attendees with the tools and connections needed to make a lasting impact.
Dynamic Keynote Speakers & Conversations
The Summit kicks off on February 25 at 2:00 PM with an inspiring keynote from former SC Governor David Beasley, who is also a 2020 Nobel Peace Prize Winner for his tenure as the Executive Director of the UN World Food Programme. Beasley will share his global perspective on humanitarian leadership, food security, and the role of nonprofits in addressing systemic challenges.
On February 26 at 11:00 AM, attendees will hear from Dr. Manuel Pastor and Dr. Chris Benner, nationally recognized scholars on economic and community resilience. Their session will explore how South Carolina nonprofits can play a role in helping every South Carolinian prosper and thrive, turning research into action at the local level.
The event will conclude with the much-anticipated Local Leaders Panel, a candid conversation with grassroots changemakers on how nonprofits can best partner with and empower communities.
Honoring the 2025 Governor’s Volunteer Award Winners
Together SC, in partnership with the Governor’s Office and the South Carolina Service Commission, will recognize outstanding individuals and organizations who have made extraordinary contributions to their communities through volunteerism. The 2025 Governor’s Volunteer Awards will be presented during the Summit, celebrating the impact of volunteers who are strengthening South Carolina’s nonprofit sector.
