Black Philanthropy Month

Posted By: Trimease Carter For Good Connections,

As we wrap up the celebration of Black Philanthropy Month this August, we want to take a moment to highlight a meaningful opportunity for all of us to make an impact: Give 8/28 Day.

Black Philanthropy Month is a nationally coordinated effort to celebrate African-descent giving and strive for funding equity.

It’s a time to recognize and amplify the significant contributions of Black-led and Black-serving nonprofits across the country.

This month has been filled with events and initiatives that shine a light on the power of philanthropy in advancing equity and justice.

One of the pinnacle events is Give 8/28 Day, a national giving day dedicated to supporting Black-led and Black-serving nonprofits.

This day is a culmination of the momentum created throughout Black Philanthropy Month, focusing our collective efforts on one concentrated day of giving.

In honor of the ongoing work of Black-led and serving nonprofits, we encourage you to support these organizations as we close out August.

Your contribution on Give 8/28 Day can make a tangible difference in advancing equity and justice in our communities.
